ReplyDeleteMy name is Frank Anthony Ferro. I’ve lived in the same house in Mantua, NJ my entire life with my mom, dad, two younger brothers (ages 20 and 18), and two dogs. I have a lovely girlfriend of five years named Kasey Hayes whom I love and adore; she’s helped me get through tough times, and we’ve helped each other survive college. I’m not a huge fan of snow; you’ll find me at the Jersey shore – either Ocean City or Wildwood – during most of the summer months. I am a devout Nintendo fan and, according to my parents, have been playing video games since I was one year old, at which time I picked up my first Nintendo controller and played the original Mario Bros. on the NES. I am also a huge survivor horror fan, my favorites being the Resident Evil and Silent Hill series. I also enjoy astronomy and camping; I often combine the two and camp in open fields or woods with Kas, my friends, and my beloved telescope in remote, dark places in order to observe the best views of the nighttime sky. It’s amazing how bad the light pollution is in most of the area, but you wouldn’t know unless you’ve witnessed the unblemished nighttime sky yourself and seen the Milky Way.
Before working at Pennsville, I worked at Daminger’s Natural Pet Foods in Sewell, NJ – a small, family-owned natural pet foods store – and at Kohl’s Department Store. I didn’t care for the latter the least bit, but the former was a fun place to work. I learned a lot there and the owners treated me like family. I worked there for six years and recently quit to join all of you at Pennsville.
I have such an extensive list of favorite movies that I cannot name one, but I love any movies with Mel Gibson and Jim Carrey for sure. If I had to pick, I’d say Jurassic Park, Signs, Braveheart, Ace Ventura: Pet Detective, Lethal Weapon, and 28 Days Later, in no particular order. As far as TV shows go, Family Guy is definitely on the top of my list (Seasons 1-3 especially), but I also like South Park, Archer, and It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia.
I graduated from Clearview Regional High School in 2006 and enrolled at Gloucester County College for the following fall semester. At county college I majored in Liberal Arts because I had such a hard time settling on one particular major. I had an awesome professor at Gloucester County College that made me fall in love with English. After spending two years at GCC, I transferred to Rowan University as an English and Education major. I graduated from Rowan University in December 2010 with a Bachelor of Arts in English and Subject Matter Education.
As an English major I love short stories (Poe, O’Connor, Faulkner, Chopin, Crane, and Melville), poetry of all genres (particularly those of the Romantic and Transcendentalist eras), and Shakespeare’s plays (Hamlet and Macbeth). I can provide two favorite novels: Lord of the Flies and Catch-22. This list, however, is ever-changing as I add more novels to it as time progresses.
Growing up, I always possessed a love for music. I played the saxophone from 4th through 11th grades in the school orchestra and jazz band (don’t ask why I quit my senior year), and I have been in a few different bands since 11th grade as a bass guitar player. I’m always looking to learn a new instrument; I recently took up the Irish whistle and I’d like to try the violin soon. As for my musical tastes, I am into a variety of genres from punk rock/ska (Streetlight Manifesto, Reel Big Fish, Less Than Jake, and NOFX) and Irish punk/folk (Flogging Molly, The Tossers, and Dropkick Murphys) to classic rock (Led Zeppelin and Aerosmith) and funk (Primus). I recently got into Mumford and Sons and have had that band’s CD playing through my car stereo for a good part of the last month.
This is pretty long-winded, so I think you know as much about me as I’m willing to share (ha ha). I hope you find this blog at least somewhat fun, and I look forward to reading all of your blog posts and sharing the rest of the school year with you!

What are your hobbies?- You'll usually find me on the computer messing with games but if i'm not, i'm outside with friends, Jumping jumps on my bike or running.
Whats your favorite movie?- People ask me this all the time but I don't think I have one, there are just so many good ones that I cant call my favorite.
Whats your favorite TV show?- I think my favorite show would be Edd, Ed, and Eddy. I grew up on the 90's shows and I do dislike that there not one anymore.
Whats your favorite subject in school?- I don't really like and subject it just depends on how the teacher acts and teaches the class.
Whats is your favorite Literary work?- I like the Reacher series its a good mix between mystery and action out of the ex-special forces character named Reacher.
What is your favorite music/band? Linkin Park is the band I've always like but I usually like a sound rather in just a band that goes more towards the techno alternative music.
Do you play an instrument/band?- I'm in the mens ensemble and that is it, I don't play an instrument
What is your learning style?- I am a hands-on learner in most things. I like to do most things alone, I feel like every time i'm with a group I get distracted.
Do you have any pets?- I have 4 dogs and two cats a little more then needed but I still love them all.
Have you traveled to other countries?- I actually went last Christmas and New years to Germany to see family I have there (my mom is German) and i've been going there every other year for the most part to see family.
How would you describe yourself in three words? I don't think I could do that.
Do you have plans after high school?- Yes i'm planing on going to college for Graphic design or Game designing, not sure yet.
I'm Victoria Cobb, however I prefer Tori. I enjoy running, and being active. I like spending time with my family and friends. I love any horror movie, as long as it's scary I'll enjoy it. My favorite TV show would have to be Make It or Break It or Pretty Little Liars both on ABC Family. I have tons of animals, considering my mom owns a charity(for animals) and she is part-time Animal Control Officer for Pennsville. Currently in my house I have 9 cats, three dogs( all boxers), and I have a Rabbit. However, in my garage and backyard, there is a lot more then just 9 cats. If I could describe myself in three words they would be: Funny, Nice, and Outgoing.
ReplyDeleteI don't really have a favorite book, considering I don't really enjoy reading. However, I like a lot of books by Ellen Hopkins that I have read in the past. I love Country music, I feel like many people can really relate to it. I don't play an instrument anymore, however I played the violin since I was in the fifth grade. I stopped playing after the eighth grade in order to expand my horizon in high school.
I enjoy learning hands on, and I like to work in small groups, I feel like more will be accomplished, and I like to read silently. My favorite subject is math, I enjoy problem-solving. I actually get excited when we learn something new in math, because I find it a lot of fun. After high school, I plan to attend college and dual-major in business and cosmetology. After college I plan to open my own salon, and become a beautician.

ReplyDeleteI think I'm a visual learner, because I like to see a copy of what the teacher is explaning. Also, I would rather work alone during a project because I don't trust anyone else's work except my own. And I like to read aloud, it helps me stay with the class. I own a hairless cat named Mercedes, and a fish. Sadly, I haven't traveled anywhere farther than Florida, but I would like to visit other countries. After graduating high school I plan on going to college but I'm not fully sure what for yet.

ReplyDeleteI read, play my clarinet, and talk to my bff, who as of right now is in Chicago for school. I don't really have a favorite movie, I like lots of old 80s movies though like, Better Off Dead, and Ferris Buehlers Day Off. My favorite subject in school is probably my music classes, bio, and history. My favorite book series is The House Of Night series. My favorite bands are Paramore, Blue October, Death Cab For Cutie, Never Shout Never, and The Classic Crime. I have played clarinet since seventh grade even though that's late for this district.
My learning style os probably a mix between auditory and kinesthetic.I like working independently. I don't like relying on people because I don't trust them. I prefer to read silently, I read faster that way and it bothers me when people read slow out loud.

What are your hobbies? I'm on Facebook quite often, whether at home on the computer, or on my iTouch. I also like to be with my best friends; whenever there's an opportunity to get out of the house.
What is your favorite movie? Although I have a lot of movies that I enjoy watching, I would have to say that my all time favorite is Forrest Gump.
What is your favorite TV show? I actually have 4 shows that I absolutely love. They are Skins, Jersey Shore, Tosh.0, and Family Guy (in no specific order).
What is your favorite subject in school? I may seem a bit nerdy when I say this, but I love Biology. I do very well in my biology class, and I can actually understand what I'm doing fairly quickly.
What is your favorite literary work? I would have to say The Samurai's Garden. It was one of the books I chose to read this year for my English class; and I really liked it. I thought it was very interesting.
What is your favorite music/band? I don't listen to many "bands" so to say, more like people who sing individually, and their songs may feature one or more other artists. My favorite genres of music are rap, and hip-hop.
Do you play an instrument? If so, what kind and for how long have you played? I play the violin, and I am in the school orchestra. I've played it for five years now. I don't plan on becoming a professional though; my talent isn't as good as many others in orchestra.
What is your learning style? I'm a bit both, visual and auditory. It depends on the topic we're learning about. I also like working in groups, and independently as well. Sometimes I feel that I can get work done faster by myself, and other times get it done faster in groups. I read quite fast when I read silently; and if I don't understand a part or all of what I read, I'll ask for an explanation.
Do you have any pets? I have five pets. Two cats, and three dogs.
Have you traveled to other countries? No I have not. I would most certainly like to though. Just to see what the places outside America are like.
How would you describe yourself in three words? I would have to say shy (only around new people), humorous, and competitive.
Do you have plans after high school? If so, what are they? I plan on going to college after high school. I want to go to a college for a science based career. I'm not really sure what type of science, since there's so many choices. It'll most likely be something related to biology.
Hi, I’m Kathie Ung (I don’t have a middle name). I like to shop, eat, sleep, read and hang out with my friends. I love comical and cute movies and I love animated movies too. I hate scary movies and I love all the movies that were novels by Nicholas Sparks. I like watching Gossip Girl and Hellcats and other TV shows as well. I don’t have any pets at all, but I had always wanted a dog.
ReplyDeleteEven though I’m not good at it, English is my favorite subject. I don’t really have any specific book that is my favorite, but I like all the books by Sarah Dessen like “Lock and Key” and “Along for the Ride.” I also enjoyed reading “The House of Night” series. I don’t really listen to many bands, I prefer music artists like Katy Perry, but I do like 3 OH! 3. I have never travelled to any other country before, but I plan on it in the future. I play the violin and I’m in the High School Orchestra and been playing my violin since I was in 6th grade.
I think I am a visual learner. I rather work in groups so then you don’t have to do everything by yourself and it’s more interactive. Also, I prefer to read silently because I can never concentrate on what the story is about if I read aloud. Three words I would describe myself would be: nice, reserved, and genuine. I plan on going to New York my senior year because I know I definitely want to go there for college. My other hobby is Reading but I only read when it’s a book I am interested in. My favorite literary work is “Number the Stars” it is interesting to me. I don’t have a favorite movie, TV show, or type of music. I like all types of music except for rap, because rap isn’t music it is noise.
I think my learning style is visual but I am not sure. I would much rather work in a group then alone I hate working alone. When I am in a group I get the chance to hear other peoples opinion on questions that I might not understand.
I have a cat named Midnight, and two family dogs Coco and Paki. I love them all very much they are such great animals. I have been to other countries three times. I was in an opera in Italy, and I was in the Philadelphia boys choir and we sang in Panama and Costa Rica. These three experiences were the best times of my life. ReplyDeleteMy favorite subject in school is advanced music theory. I want to go to the Manhattan School of Music in New York after high school and major in vocal performance. In the fall I'll be participating in the pre-college program at Julliard and I take weekly voice lessons with an adjunct teacher at the college. Music is my passion and I would like to learn an instrument before the end of highschool.
I really like almost all kinds of music. Picking just one favorite would be impossible. If i had to name a few it would be, Mac Miller, Kid Cudi, Wiz Khalifa, Lady Antebellum, Taylor Swift, Linkin Park, Aerosmith, and the Goo Goo Dolls.
My learning style is hands-on. I would rather work in a small group of people we got to pick. Assigning groups is dumb because if we all hate eachother we're not going to work very well together. I prefer to read aloud.

ReplyDeleteActually, everything I said was a lie up there. That was just to distract you and draw you in before I hit you with the real stone-cold facts. My hobbies are reading and playing video games. I enjoy survival horror and role-playing games. My favorite movie is very hard to pick as I love so many, but if I had to choose I would say Clue. Tim Curry is a freaking genius. My favorite shows are Family Guy, South Park, Futurama, Bones, Criminal Minds, and Supernatural. My favorite subject in school is English, so y'all better not disappoint. My favorite book is really hard to decide on, because I read so much. Right now I would probably say my favorites are The Dark Tower, A Song of Ice and Fire, anything written by Garth Nix, the Dresden Files, the Secrets of the Immortal Nicholas Flamel, and many, many others. My name is Amber Whitzell. I've lived in three different houses, all of which were in Pennsville. I love hanging out with my friends and family. It's so hard for me to pick a favorite movie; a couple of my favorites are The Notebook, National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation, and V for Vendetta. My favorite subject has changed multiple times but it's been history for a couple of years now. My favorite books include The Great Gatsby, Tuesdays with Morrie and Fahrenheit 451. I don't even know where to start with my favorite music. The Beatles, Journey, and Bad English are definitely at the top of my list. I love almost all things from the 80s, not limited to music. I've never had any interest in playing any sort of instrument.

After high school I plan on going to college to pursue a career in the medical field. I'm still deciding between ultrasonography, nuclear medicine and radiography.

Some of my hobbies are managing sports; I manage field hockey, softball, and basketball. I also always babysit and during summer I practically live at the beach!
I don't really have a favorite movie because I watch so many I love them all and I really could choose one.
My favorite TV show is like all of the crime scene investigation shows. Such as NCIS, Csi, and Law and order.
I don't like school at but my favorite subject in school would either be math, or accounting! They are both really easy classes that I’m good at.
When I was in middle school and we were required to read books and take AR test on them I read a book called "A Child Called It" it was probably my favorite book. It was very depressing and sad but its suspense was so great that I couldn't put it down.
I like all music but I do like the band Mumford and Sons. But I’m not picky with my music I could listen to it all.
I don’t play any instruments but in middle school I did participate in chorus.

ReplyDeleteI am 16 years old and a sophomore. I do not have many hobbies but I enjoy babysitting a lot and hangout with my friends. Also, I love going for walks I am usually walking all over the place. I have lived in the same house here in Pennsville for my whole life. I live with my mom, dad, little brother (7) and my sister when she’s not at college(20). I have a little yorkie/Maltese dog names nana .I am not much of an energetic person by any means but I am a happy one. Warm weather is nice but I dislike hot weather and bright days I rather it be chilly out with a little sun and I love to be outside at night. In the summer I love to go camping with my family and my best friend, we spend most of the summer at the camp ground.
I believe my learning style is both visual and auditory, both help and reading out loud helps me understand what is going on. For group working it always helps when it comes to projects and helping each other out so I guess I like it once in awhile. I don’t have a favorite subject but I like the Microsoft Excel class I have taken. When it comes to English I would rather never have to do creative writing, not very fun to me at all. I used to play the Violin in our schools orchestra I played from sixth grade until last year. I defiantly plan on going to college after high school where and what for I’m still clueless on for right now but I hope to figure it out soon.

We are always up to something fun. summer has to be my favorite season and part of the year. just about everyday you can find me with the usawall people. But in school i would have to say that math is my favorite subject. i do not really like english, i hate to read books so i do not have a favorite book. In class i am a visual learner and hands on and i would rather read independently. For music i like just about anything from county to rap and rock to oldies.
Outside of school I have two dogs, oliver and copper. oliver is a yellow lab and copper is a golden retrever. also i have left the country a few times. i have been to the bahamas, jamaca and burmuda. after high school i plan on going to a trade school for eletric and then work with my uncle. to descibe myself in three words i would have to say outgoing, funny, and sarcastic.
My name is Danielle Elise Cornman. You can call me Danielle, Dani, Dan, or whatever floats your boat. I honestly don't care. I am a very busy person. I play soccer and softball for varsity. I am the starting goalie for soccer and this year I had the honor of winning south jersey championships and we went all the way to states but lost 1-0 with less than 2 minutes left in the game. For softball I am the starting left field and last year I was one of only 2 freshman to start varsity. I am also really into music. I play trumpet and I'm in the music academy. I am in the concert band, jazz band, and also the percussion ensemble. I love all types of music and I am usually listenig to my iPhone whenever I get the chance. I enjoy all types of music and I don't really have a favorite band or artist. In school, I dont really have a favorite class. I dont generally pay attention and I lose mostly all my papers. I'm usually just texting people in class.

I also have a hamster, Carlos, but I have recently discovered that he has escaped his cage and is now roaming free around my house. I have 2 brothers named Nick and Philip.
