  1. My Fear of the Above

    Height

Just thinking about it gives me fright

    Airplanes, helicopters, and jets

    We have never met

Walking over the Brooklyn Bridge – dangling on a thin, wooden plank between two skyscrapers

Oh how much I wanted to go to the bakers

Roller coasters make me want to pee my pants

They jump up and down on the rails as if they were in a dance

I wish I could get rid of this fear as fast as lightning

Height is all so very frightening

  2. The Dark Pool Of Death

As I slowly submerge myself into the water

It's coldness attacks my bones, making my whole body go numb

Pushing deeper, shells and rocks crunch under my feet

Seaweed wraps around my ankles, pulling me under

Seagulls calling from the sky, like fighter plane sirens

Then dropping their 'bombs' on unlucky beach bathers

Sharks and jellyfish are always lurking around in the dark water

Leaving me frightened and freezing the whole time

  3. As I walk slowly down the street
The blindfold of darkness in front of me puts me on edge
The monsters and murderers just waiting for a good opportunity to make their move
Here I am, vulnerable and helpless
At the mercy of the darkness and everything that lies beyond it
I can do nothing but hope and pray I make my way home in one piece.

  4. I am light
I am one too strong to fight
So go away and leave my sight
And Take with you this endless night.
I send you back where shadows dwell
You cannot take me to your hell

  5. The future, the mystery, it fills me with fear.
Is it the moon, that constantly changes with each passing day?
Or the ancient hieroglyphs of Egypt, etched in stone and can never be changed?
Around every corner, it lurks, watching every move.
What will happen when I walk around that corner that it's hiding behind?
Will it scare me, shock me, surprise me?
Whatever it is, I have no control over it.
Which probably terrifies me the most.

  6. Falling through

Grates and drains lay on concrete with uncertainty.

    What is below is unknown.

They seem harmless and out of the way.

Falling through and being stuck with no one around.

The cave below swallows everything that falls into its grip.

The darkness below takes you in.

  7. Sneaky and sly like a spy undercover
    So silent you barely hear
Waiting to strike as if time lasts forever
Difficult to tell when it's near
It slithers around in its patterned skin
Which is used for its disguise
In its mouth it holds needle-like teeth
Just waiting to pierce its vulnerable prey
My fear for the snake will never cease
For I am frightened every minute of the day

  8. Worm1212:

    Spiders

    Creepy, crawly, hairy, ugly things,
that can live almost anywhere you can think.
When I see one, I feel like it's waiting to come get me.
Their legs, longer than an elephant's trunk,
crawl up the side of the wall.
Just thinking about walking through a web,
makes me feel like I'd rather be dead.

  9. My fear of needles

Silver and shiny it looks me in the eye
Sharp and cold it goes under my skin
Chills come upon me and I say oh my
It hurts worse than a stab from a pin
As soon as I see it fear goes into my body
And I shut my eyes tight
Doctors tell me its fine, I don't hear nobody
Who knew this little thing could give fright

  10. My biggest fear
    is even scary to hear.
It has to do with being alone in the dark.
I could trip over an arc
Or get lost in the park.
    I could get kidnapped
    or even slapped.
    It’s also a fear
    to see a deer.
    I might just scream
    and hope it’s a dream.

  11. A Precious Twig

My neck is a magnet to unwarning hands
The gentlest touch is like razor blades scraping my skin.
    I carry myself with caution
As if I were guarding a fragile twig
Ready to snap if one gets too close.
    Maybe I'm just paranoid
But it seems everything creeps on me
Waiting for the moment to grab at my throat.
    It gives me chills.
    I hate the feeling.

  12. Small dogs.

To most people they are just cute and small,
But I fear them most of all.
They seem all nice and sweet,
But their razor teeth will bite your feet.
They know im scared and they plan their attack,
And they will get me as soon as I turn my back.

  13. Falling and Tumbling
Being a small bird for an immeasurable time
    hitting sweet coolness
    engulfs me complete
    sense of security lost
    no longer falling, but sinking
    arms wrap all around
    heavy weights pulling me down
the cobra starts to strangle me
    gasping for air
fear and water choking my screams
    no relief
    only to be greeted
    by everlasting peace

  14. The slow pain

As I sit in the cold, dark office
    Waiting to be observed
I sit in my own sweat and fear.
It enters the room, whispering words in my ear
It speaks of hate, and I am skitish.
I'm paranoid as it stalks me and kreeps closer
It is a fearless lion, and I am it's weak prey.
Or a snake, slithering toward me.
As I tense up with fear, it latches on and injects its venum into me.

  15. spiders
    When they creep and crawl
    it makes me cringe.
    When they nit their webs
so I can walk into them.
    Their sneakiness and stalking
I feel they are always watching.

  16. The feeling of water is cold to the touch.

It never cares how or why.

The water grasps the lungs, never giving them a chance.

It drags you down now caring if your big, small, old, of tall.

The pressure of the water crushes you to the point of no return.

Water, a force that will never be controlled and shows the power of nature.

  17. Beetles

They're really sticky, they look so mean.
It really sceebes me out seeing them on the street.
They are monsters, who stalk me everyday.
It's almost a scar, that won't ever go away.
Creepy and crawling with shiny chrome shells.
They stare at me talking, when I look them in their eyes.
Beetles. Beetles are everywhere. Even more so at night.

    My Biggest Fear

Bugs are creepy, crawly pieces of Mother Nature,

They cling to you like magnets and they never leave you alone,

There always there everywhere you look,

Stalking your every move like prey,

Bugs are ugly, and unattractive to the eye; nobody wants them around,

They all have different traits based on species; slimy, squirmy, hard, tiny, and large,

Bugs are harmful, gross, creepy, crawly species that put fear into me.
